Jordan Wong is a Cleveland-based designer and Community Outreach Director for AIGA Cleveland. His unique art installation – “Five Series” – combines witty images and references from American pop culture with centuries-old philosophical themes of the “Five Elements” from his Chinese heritage. His beautifully, intricate designs derive influence from cartoons, comics, and video games and portray a sense of humor, warmth and imagination. Wong has had two installations of the “Five Series” project: one in the Lava Lounge, a local hot spot located in the trendy Cleveland neighborhood, Tremont, and more recently, at StartSmart, an entrepreneurial hub and workspace in the historic Cleveland Terminal Tower.

Wong had originally planned to print his art on vinyl, but he found his illustrations were too complex to print high-quality. His local printer suggested he use Kodak Photo Tex and when he saw the superb image quality and fine detail of KODAK Photo Tex he “was blown away.” He was also impressed with the ease of installation.

“Installation was a breeze and the repositionable quality is the best part,” says Wong, “KODAK Photo Tex is like a giant sticker, you throw it up anywhere and you can move it around—no problem. I would recommend it to anyone doing interior graphics of any kind.”

Wong sees digital printing becoming more a part of the art world. Print Service Providers should look for creative business opportunities working and partnering with artists and art organizations. Offer your customers the versatility and unsurpassed quality of KODAK Photo Tex.
