Travel photographer relies on Kodak photo paper to showcase his adventures

For Steve Filipiak, travel photographer, life is short and the world is wide. Steve has worked in the travel industry for over 16 years, capturing stunning images from all over the world for multiple magazines, newspapers, stock photography and even the Mexican government. He describes his style as “spontaneous and insightful”—just like any good adventure should be.

Steve relies on KODAK PROFESSIONAL Inkjet Photo Paper, Glossy / 255g for many of his projects. “I find that Kodak PROFESSIONAL Inkjet Photo Papers produce a more color-neutral print than what I see with other brands of photo papers, which tend to produce a yellowish hue. This is even more noticeable when printing in black and white.” Steve likes to give his client’s an 11 x14 print reproduced on KODAK PROFESSIONAL Inkjet Photo Paper, Glossy / 255g or KODAK PROFESSIONAL Inkjet Photo Paper, Lustre / 255g after an assignment as a beautiful, lasting reminder of the experience.

The advent of the smartphone has changed the business of photography by putting a camera in the hands of an ever-growing population, but Steve believes that there is still opportunity remaining for professionals in printed photography. The challenge is to capture images with a unique perspective and to continue to explore the new print technology that is producing highly accurate prints at a more affordable price.
